I am directed to inform you that the Revd. C.E. Swinnerton of Jesselton has been accepted by the General Officer Commanding as a candidate for a combatant Officer Cadet Unit, and arrangements are being made to pay his passage from War Office Funds up to the limit of the amount
sanctioned.
He wishes to be accompanied by his wife, end to
go via Canada.
In these circumstances, the General Officer Commanding hopes that no difficulty will arise in the issue of the necessary passports, on application.
Mr. Swinnerton has been passed in Borneo, fit
Class "A" for service.
